LEASING YOUR CANADIAN HORSE

Jordan Lake Farms has three horses we do not have time to work sufficiently and cannot bear to sell.  We have decided to lease these most special horses to some very special people.  The horses are trained in basic dressage and are wonderfully safe on trails.  They are all purebred Canadian Horses and are tall, gorgeous, gentle and black.

The leasing arrangement would provide FULL board including private stall, pasture, all feed, hay, de-worming, vaccines, farrier care, halter, lead ropes, bridle, saddle and saddle pad.  Additionally, the first month of leasing would include a weekly riding lesson to get you and your horse wonderfully acquainted.

All you have to do is come to a beautiful farm in Newnan three times per week and enjoy your horse.  You may select either Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday or Wednesday-Friday-Sunday as your days for “horsing around”.  You may come for an hour or spend the entire day from 9AM to 6PM.  We have both professionally built arena and round pen and miles of riding trails at the farm.  You are welcomed to schedule additional lessons with a professional trainer for very reasonable prices, and you are welcomed to take your horse to horseshows if that is your desire.  Other than giving your horse a nice bath once a month and keeping your horse’s tack clean, there is no maintenance for you to do – it’s all done for you – you just need to come and have wonderful “horse” days – all your time is spent on pleasure instead of work!

The price of the lease is $300 per month.  Any lessee MUST be a “horseperson” with some knowledge of grooming, tacking, and handling horses – such as being able to enter your horse’s pasture, put on the halter and lead your horse into the barn.  You must have some experience riding, a reasonably balanced seat and have light, gentle hands on your horse’s reins.  Our horses have been properly handled/trained their entire lives and are vice-free –  we must be selective about their future handlers/riders.
